Making Paper was an aid. I was given the flexibility to create three dimensional forms and shapes in pencil and pen sketches, which increased my creativity and encouraged experimentation and new ideas. I had a certain objective in mind while I made my 200 gsm paper prototypes model. I was quite clear about what I wanted my prototypes to express and ultimately test.

My best concepts were able to be transformed from two dimensional to three dimensional forms, giving me a better understanding of how my design will seem in practise. It allowed me to assess the size in real life and the manufacturing process of the design if it were to be manufactured of mild steel.

I chose a small number of my designs and concepts for my metal surreal hand tool and turned them into prototypes or "scaled-down" versions of the thing I want to produce. As a product designer, I've come to understand that paper prototyping is an essential step in the process since it allows for the quick and inexpensive exploration of several concepts. Additionally, I was able to write notes, identify potential areas for development, and act as fantastic documentation that I could return to at various points along the project.
